Seeking an innovative and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to lead part of our older age psychiatry team in central Cornwall, covering Truro and Newquay. This leadership role involves driving clinical excellence and guiding a collaborative team to provide assessments and interventions for older adults.

Main duties of the job
Provide specialist resource to the Gannel complex care and dementia psychiatry service, including casework and advice to colleagues. The post involves outpatient and community services, including home visits. The post-holder must be approved under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act 1983 and be an Approved Clinician. Occasionally, provide expert advice to courts regarding patients.

Qualifications and Training
* Recognised Medical Degree
* Full GMC Registration
* Inclusion (or eligibility) on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT
* Section 12 Approval
* Relevant Higher Degree (e.g., MD, PhD, MSc)
* Clinical and Educational Supervisor Training
* Approved Clinician status
