The College is seeking applications for a Lecturer in Fabrication and Welding based at our Greystone Campus. The post holder will provide quality teaching and learning opportunities within the specific areas outlined in the post to maximize student potential and undertake appropriate non-lecturing duties.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the development, organization, and delivery of the Fabrication and Welding curriculum across the College, leading to the award of various qualifications related to your specialism(s).
* Attend meetings related to students, course coordination, management, assessment, and development.
* Participate in marketing and recruitment for courses within the subject/programme area.
* Act as a course manager/coordinator.
* Undertake assessor and verifier duties.
Skills and Qualifications
* Hold at least a Level 5 qualification in Construction or Engineering or be willing to attain one within four years of appointment.
* Possess at least a Level 3 qualification in Fabrication and Welding.
* Have three years of relevant industrial, professional, or teaching experience in Fabrication and Welding.
* Experience in MMA, MIG, and TIG welding applications.
* GCSE English (Grade C or higher) or Level 2 Essential Skills in Communication, or equivalent qualifications.
* GCSE Maths (Grade C or higher) or Level 2 Essential Skills in Numeracy, NICATS Access Maths Modules, or equivalent qualifications.
* Possess a Post Graduate Certificate in Education or an equivalent qualification recognized for teaching in the Northern Ireland FE Sector, or be currently registered with the GTCNI.
