We are currently working with a high school with good links to Manchester, Wigan & Bolton who are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible, continuing until the end of the academic year in July.
As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality education and positive oues for pupils.
Your new role
1. Deliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups, or whole classes in the absence of a teacher
2. Support pupils’ learning, progress, and engagement within the classroom
3. Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities
4. Support students with varying abilities, including those with additional needs
5. Manage behaviour in line with the school’s policies
6. Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents where appropriate
What you'll need to succeed
7. Level 4 HLTA qualification (essential)
8. Previous experience working in a secondary school setting
9. Strong classroom management andmunication skills
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
11. A proactive, flexible, and positive approach
12. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
