As an IT Support Administrator, you'll be part of our Engineering team and expected to be onsite at our Pontypool office for 2/3 days a week. Your responsibilities include ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and software applications. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, providing end-user support, and maintaining IT infrastructure to optimise performance and security.

What you'll be doing:
* Providing IT support to all Owl colleagues, including hardware and software troubleshooting, resolving issues promptly
* Performing regular maintenance tasks, including software updates, system backups, and security patch deployment to ensure system integrity
* Monitoring and managing network performance, ensuring seamless connectivity and resolving any network-related issues
* Documenting technical issues and solutions to enhance support efficiency
* Working with Compliance and the People team to ensure smooth onboarding for new starters, including setting up accounts and ordering laptops and equipment
* Tracking and managing IT assets, including hardware and software inventories, and visiting the TOC to wipe down returned assets
* Managing supplier relationships for laptops to ensure good service
* Managing deactivation of user accounts for leavers and secure disposal of hardware
* Updating Active Directory with new starters and leavers promptly
* Conducting training sessions to increase colleagues' IT skills and knowledge
* Liaising with our MXDR partner, Chorus, to address issues promptly
* Supporting various IT projects in collaboration with the Engineering team
* Identifying and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and innovation
* Communicating with stakeholders to manage expectations throughout processes

You're someone who has:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or sufficient experience in an IT support role
* Experience administering a Microsoft 365 environment
* Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and support tools; familiarity with network management and security protocols
* Knowledge of GDPR
* Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
