What is the job role?
Afantastic development opportunity for a Project Support Officer within the Transformation and Change team. This is an exciting time to join the team as we deliver the council’s change priorities.
The role is primarily based at Friargate. This is fixed term contract for 32hrs per week, for 8 months.
We are looking for someone who is interested in service improvement and change, and who wants to develop their skills
Previous knowledge or experience of working in a formal project or change role is not a priority. We are more interested in your skills, potential, and willingness to learn, and we will support you to develop further in the role.
What you will be doing
As a Project Support Officer, you will:
1. Support the planning and coordination of project activity to progress work at pace
2. Undertake research and analysis, using information and data to support decision making
3. Contribute to project plans, reports and presentations
4. Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across different services and all levels of the organisation

5. Good interpersonal skills, with some confidence in dealing with senior colleagues
6. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks and work to deadlines
7. An ability to undertake research and analyse information to draw clear conclusions
8. The ability to work as part of a team on reviews and project activity
9. A constructive approach to building and maintaining effective working relationships
