As Head Veterinary Surgeon, you will oversee the clinical direction and day-to-day running of the practice while remaining actively involved in consulting, surgery and patient care. Working closely with the Practice Manager and Practice Director, you will support and mentor colleagues while helping to drive clinical excellence across the practice.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As Head Veterinary Surgeon, you will be the most senior veterinary clinician within the practice, responsible for leading clinical standards, governance and the delivery of outstanding patient and client care.

You’ll provide clinical leadership to the veterinary team, oversee complex cases and act as the primary source of clinical guidance and decision‑making within the practice. Working closely with the wider leadership team, you’ll help shape the strategic direction of the practice while fostering a positive and collaborative clinical culture.


Working Pattern

* Full‑time position
* 4‑day working week
* 1 in 4 Saturday mornings
* No out‑of‑hours commitments


You Might Be a Great Fit If...

You are a highly experienced veterinary surgeon with strong clinical expertise and a passion for leadership and clinical excellence. You’ll bring:

* A Veterinary degree and registration with the RCVS
* Strong experience within small animal practice, including confidence with routine medical and surgical cases
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
* Leadership capability, with the desire to support, mentor and develop colleagues
* A proactive approach to learning, improvement and clinical excellenceProfessionalism, reliability and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
