Rate of Pay : £20.98 - £26.67 per hour Summary: The Finance Business Partner will provide essential financial support to Walsall Council, focusing on robust financial reporting and the application of accounting principles. This is a hybrid role requiring a combination of remote work and office presence in Walsall. The successful candidate will be a technical expert capable of managing financial statements and reporting requirements during this three-month assignment. Responsibilities: Serve as a financial reporting accountant, ensuring all data is accurate and submitted according to council timelines. Apply International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and general accounting principles to all financial tasks and documentation. Manage and oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements. Act as a key finance contact for the department, providing expert guidance on financial matters Qualifications: Deep technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Mastery of core accounting principles required for public sector or local government finance Essentials : Significant experience in the preparation and analysis of complex financial statements. Proven background as a financial reporting accountant.
