Role Summary
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will provide both hands-on care and leadership support, ensuring children and young people feel safe, nurtured, and empowered to achieve their potential. The Senior Residential Support Worker will play a key role in supervising staff, supporting the management team, and being a positive role model.
Key Responsibilities

Work directly with children as a Senior Residential Support Worker, providing day-to-day care, guidance, and emotional support.
*
Lead shifts confidently, supervising staff in your role as a Senior Residential Support Worker.
*
Promote independence, resilience, and positive outcomes for young people as a Senior Residential Support Worker.
*
Support children in line with care plans and therapeutic strategies.
*
Ensure safeguarding, compliance, and Ofsted standards are upheld by every Senior Residential Support Worker on shift.
*
Assist the Registered Manager by mentoring colleagues in your position as a Senior Residential Support Worker.
*
Maintain accurate records and reports, demonstrating accountability as a Senior Residential Support Worker.
Requirements
*
Previous experience working in a children’s residential home is essential for a Senior Residential Support Worker.
*
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is required to progress as a Senior Residential Support Worker.
*
Leadership or shift-leading experience within residential childcare is highly desirable for a Senior Residential Support Worker.
*
Flexibility to work 1 on / 2 off rota, including sleep-ins, is essential for a Senior Residential Support Worker.
*
A genuine passion for supporting children with EBD is vital for any Senior Residential Support Worker.
