Overview
Lead Occupational Therapist (Ref: 245480) — Intermediate Care Team — Substantive — Full Time 36 hours per week. Band 7 Salary Range £52,845 £61,466 per annum plus Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 per annum and Relocation Assistance of up to £8,000 available.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide an Occupational Therapy service in a unique location with unique challenges. The Intermediate Care Team provides rehabilitation and reablement to the population of the Shetland Islands aged 18 and over, with the majority of the caseload being older people with a variety of complex conditions. The post holder will work primarily within the community setting in clients’ homes and in Local Authority provided care homes.
Responsibilities
* Provide Occupational Therapy services in the community and care home settings in Shetland, focusing on rehabilitation and reablement for adults (18+) with complex conditions.
* Work primarily in clients’ homes and in Local Authority provided care homes.
* Assume managerial responsibility within the role.
* Assess and develop Occupational Therapy graded rehabilitation programmes for clients in a variety of settings.
Qualifications
* HCPC registered.
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy.
* Minimum of 3 years clinical experience with a highly developed understanding of Occupational Therapy.
* Experience of assessing and developing graded rehabilitation programmes for clients in a variety of settings.
