Mortuary duties Bodies to be transported to the mortuary as require In the absence of the mortuary assistant to: Arrange access to the mortuary for appropriate persons as directed. It may be necessary to assist Ambulance crews and/or Contracted Funeral Director during admission. Deliveries To provide a collection and delivery service as required for internal specimens, theatre/x-ray lists. Equipment, Furniture and Fittings Patient related equipment to be clean and in good repair, defects to be reported to the Duty Team Leader. Furniture and other equipment to be moved around the hospitals when and where required Medical Gas The delivery of empty/full cylinders as required. This will include manifold rooms and associated piped gas systems. To attend to or report any defects with the medical gas supply as required.
