Job Overview Maltby Auto Electrical Services Limited is an established family company based close to Rotherham town centre and requires a Management Accountant to provide financial information and support within the senior management team. The company was established as auto electricians in 1968, expanded into hydraulic hose 24/7 repairs in 1997 and now has a significant online presence through as well as continuing the traditional auto electrical supply and installation services. The customer base encompasses both the business to business and business to consumer sectors.
Duties
· Day to day supervision of the accounting processes, supporting team members in their roles.
· Cashflow management and reporting.
· Weekly reviews of ledgers to identify ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.
· Management of accounts payable including forecasting of anticipated outflows.
· Oversee the credit control function and assist if necessary.
· Preparation of monthly management accounts on a divisional basis.
· Review of reports from the accounting software to assist operational managers in achieving target profitability.
· Create and develop reporting systems as required to develop and enhance management decision making.
· Quarterly VAT return preparation.
· Assist in the preparation of year end financial statements and liaise with external accountants in the preparation of statutory accounts.
Qualifications
· Part Qualified/Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
· Experience of management accounting roles, either in industry or practice.
· Experience in accounting software using ledger accounting such as Sage.
· Experience in the use of Excel and Word.
· Attention to detail and an enquiring mind.
· Ability to communicate with team members in all divisions of the company, enabling mutual development to streamline systems and enhance efficiency.
· The ambition and ability to take on a leadership role within the senior management team.
