Values
We approach our work with care and compassion, actively listening to the needs of the children and young people we serve and involving them in decisions. We are committed to using our resources wisely, fostering collaboration among schools, health professionals and the police, and ensuring that every child in Birmingham has the opportunity to thrive.
Safeguarding
Depending on the role, you may be asked to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The level of check (Standard, Enhanced or Enhanced with Barred List) will be determined by the specific responsibilities of the role and the level of contact with children and young people.
We are committed to fair treatment of all applicants, including those with a criminal record. Having a criminal record will not automatically disqualify an individual; eligibility depends on the nature of the offence and the role.
Because we may reach the required number of applications, we reserve the right to close the job early. Please submit your application and supporting statement early to avoid disappointment.
