About the role
As a Loss Prevention Partner (LPP) in our Profit Protection team, you'll add value to the efficiency and profitability of the shop where you are based and be an integral part of the team. You'll investigate trends and report on key themes regarding shrinkage to protect our profits. You'll also patrol the shop floor to deter potential theft and monitor CCTV for signs of suspicious behaviour, protecting your fellow Partners and customers.
Requirements: You need to be 18 years or older to work in this role. You’ll work on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends. The salary will be pro-rated for this part-time role (20 hours/week), based on the full-time pay range for 37.5 hours/week.
This role requires pre-employment screening: 5-year reference check, Basic Disclosure, and 5-year financial probity.
Key Responsibilities
* Be a point of contact for branch Profit Protection issues, escalating as needed.
* Mitigate malicious harm to Partners and Customers.
* Manage shrinkage performance within budget and risk appetite.
* Address all aspects of shrinkage, including dishonesty, procedural failure, and administrative error.
* Support and coach Partners to minimise shrinkage and follow procedures.
* De-escalate conflicts professionally, including detaining or banning offenders if necessary.
* Assist with investigations as required.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Confidence in resolving conflicts.
* Attention to detail to spot trends and profit loss signs.
* Good customer service and relationship-building skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Previous loss prevention or customer-facing experience is beneficial but not essential; full training will be provided.
