Job responsibilities Lead on the development of psychological provision within a specific clinical area, taking clinical responsibility as well as leadership of staff. Undertake the assessment, treatment and management of patients referred to the Service with a varying range of severity and complexity of psychological problems and psychiatric disorders, some of which may be highly specialised. Carry a caseload of appropriate size, complexity, and severity. Promote excellent psychological practice, provide clinical leadership promoting a service consistent with the philosophy of person-centred and evidence-based practice. Undertake risk assessments and risk management of individuals presenting with vulnerability, self-harm and/or risk of physical, sexual, or emotional harm to others. Act as an expert professional resource for other health professionals, responsible for regular audit, monitoring and evaluation of services provided, improving the quality of the service offered.
