What you’ll be doing:
* Managing sourcing activity across a range of plastic and polymer-based components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes
* Supporting exciting new product introduction (NPI) and advanced engineering development programmes
* Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to deliver commercially strong sourcing solutions
* Developing supplier relationships across both UK and international markets
* Negotiating pricing, tooling investment, contracts, and long-term supply agreements
* Monitoring market trends, raw material pricing, and supply chain risks to support strategic decision-making
* Identifying new suppliers and emerging technologies to support innovation and continuous improvement
* Supporting supplier performance, sustainability initiatives, and operational resilience across the supply base
What they’re looking for:
* Experience within purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Exposure to plastics, automotive, engineering, or technical manufacturing categories would be highly beneficial
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Commercial awareness with confidence negotiating with suppliers
* A proactive, ambitious, and career-focused mindset
* Someone who enjoys problem-solving and thrives within a fast-moving environment
* CIPS qualifications or procurement training would be advantageous
