As Indirect Tax Manager – Online, you’ll play a key role within Group Tax, supporting the fast-paced growth of Tesco’s digital sales channels. You’ll be responsible for managing indirect tax compliance and advisory matters across our evolving online operations, ensuring we remain compliant while delivering for customers. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll help shape business decisions by embedding tax considerations into digital initiatives, driving process improvements, and supporting innovation with a clear focus on accuracy, efficiency, and sustainability. Collaborate closely with Finance Change, Finance Technology, Finance, and Operations teams to support the delivery of enhanced digital platforms. Act as the subject matter expert for Indirect Tax, advising on tax requirements across our digital sales channels in the UK and international markets. Track project delivery milestones, providing regular updates and clear communication to stakeholders and business leaders. Take ownership of indirect tax processes and systems, ensuring they are efficient, effective, and continuously improved. Identify and resolve issues quickly, using a practical, solutions-focused approach to simplify operations and support innovation. Flexibly manage multiple projects across different business areas, contributing to improvements in customer experience and operational efficiency. Lead post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned, share insights with stakeholders, and embed continuous improvement in both outcomes and delivery methods. Accountancy and/or tax professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent). Experience working in a professional environment, either in practice or industry, with exposure to complex business operations. Detailed and up-to-date knowledge of Indirect Tax law, with the ability to apply it effectively in a commercial context.
