Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily activities, fostering a supportive environment for our clients.
Duties
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in maintaining their independence by helping with mobility and daily living activities.
* Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that each client's specific needs are met.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate staff.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
* Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with clients and team members.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
* Basic IT skills to manage documentation and communicate effectively within the team.
* A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.
