What we are looking for in you
We are seeking enthusiastic, honest, and hardworking individuals to join our team in Minehead. We collaborate with Somerset Council to deliver a contract providing supported accommodation for young people aged 16-24.
You will work collaboratively with young people to provide support and build professional, positive, and trusting relationships. This role involves modeling, teaching, and encouraging positive behaviors to help young people manage their independent accommodation effectively and develop as individuals to reach their potential.
We are expanding our passionate Young Persons’ Housing team in Somerset and are eager to find people who believe in young people and their potential, motivated to make a meaningful difference for young people and communities.
Building professional, positive, and trusting relationships is crucial to working with each young person, creating a supportive environment where they can progress toward greater independence and achieve their personal goals. Our team adopts an asset-based approach to actively promote positive progression for all individuals we support. If you're ready to make a real impact and facilitate transformative change, we look forward to your application.
While systems are in place to support you, a significant part of the role requires the ability to work alone. Therefore, we seek someone competent and confident working independently and capable of understanding and managing complex and challenging behaviors appropriately.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. We follow a safer recruitment process, and all appointments are subject to an Enhanced DBS check and the provision of two suitable references.
