From all manner of backgrounds, our engineers, scientists, and ex-military personnel combine their experience to help our customers achieve the true operational potential and help keep their people and platforms safe.We are building a new team that you will lead at a state-of-the-art test and evaluation facility in Cambridgeshire.You will be the primary technical contact customers will liaise with when planning trials.You will help plan and support domestic and international trials, while working with both present and future technology. You will be responsible for leading the development of the laboratory, ensuring integration of new capabilities, assets and test equipment is successful and controlled.Working autonomously with unprecedented access to the customer, you will be crucial to ensure that deployment, verification, and validation are successful. You will develop into the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the project facility acting as the main point of contact for stakeholder queries.The invaluable experience you’ll bring, to help us achieve more:Joining a large project at the initial stages, you will lead a small dynamic team in the setup, operation, scheduling and development of the synthetic test laboratory to achieve key stakeholder milestones.This will mean you will be expected to bring your experience to nurture and coach junior team members to bring out their full potential.Essential:Experience creating test scripts/programs (e.g. LabView, Python, MATLAB).Understanding of synthetic testing environments.Experience integrating and calibrating hardware and software models into a laboratory environment.Operation of hardware models through GUIs (understanding mission objectives for each model).Technical management of a production laboratory (logistics, procedures, compliance)Leading and managing a small team of engineers.STEM Degree or extensive relevant experience.Desirable:EW Domain KnowledgeExperience managing both analogue and digital interfaces between electronic components (RF/EO/Data).Use of laboratory equipment (Spectrum Analysers, Signal Generators & Oscilloscopes).Understanding of RF/EO/IR systems and sensors.Version controlling hardware and software components.Mentoring & coaching of junior engineers.Experience working on agile projects.Wellbeing is at the core to our culture, allowing employees to flourish and to achieve their full potential.
