Planning Analyst - SGT New Units
About the Role
Join us as a Planning Analyst in the Gas Services Distributed GCO organisation, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities! You will take charge of planning and scheduling new equipment for customer contracts, collaborating closely with Engineering, Assembly, and Procurement teams. As a vital link to the Project Manager, you will provide insights on project progress and proactively identify potential risks to ensure timely delivery. Your role is essential in driving project success and supporting our commitment to excellence.
How You’ll Make an Impact
* Establish, monitor, and control the overall project schedule in SAP, ensuring alignment with internal and contractual requirements.
* Ensure materials are scheduled for availability to achieve On Time Delivery, taking corrective actions to minimise penalties for late delivery.
* Provide essential planning support and information to enhance business operations.
* Set milestones in SAP and track project progress, enabling timely invoicing for the Project Manager and Finance teams.
* Conduct internal reporting for multiple contracts, detailing the status of Engineering, Purchasing, Expediting, Manufacturing, and Assembly.
* Prepare customer progress reports in line with contract requirements and represent the team in customer meetings to discuss project updates.
* Participate in project Kick-Off meetings to advise on contract milestones, lead times, and scheduling, ensuring the wider project team understands both contractual and business plan requirements.
* Monitor actual project progress, offering solutions and corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
What You Bring
* Technical knowledge of gas turbines and the industry is a plus.
* Experience in planning and scheduling will be advantageous.
* You excel in cross-functional teams, communicating clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders.
* Strong problem-solving skills enable you to identify issues and develop solutions swiftly.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools such as SAP, MS Project, and Excel is essential.
* You can manage multiple tasks and thrive under pressure to meet deadlines, contributing effectively in a team-oriented environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key to your success.
