KEY CORE COMPETENCIES Adherence to company H&S Policy Teamwork Can do attitude Excellent timekeeping Attention to details CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES Maintenance duties related to all aspects of turf management practices Proactively contribute and support the Greenkeeper / Groundsman Team Support and lead where necessary the implementing and monitoring high standards of grounds maintenance and occasional landscape development on the Golf Course Operate machinery, tools, equipment and materials to achieve and maintain the desired standards on the golf course Encourage and support all members of the team who are operating machinery, tools and equipment so following all safe systems of work and associated procedures Operators on the Golf Course to ensure that a positive customer experience is had by each member and visitor EXPERIENCE & SKILLS Experience or qualifications in turf maintenance and agronomy practices Level 2 SVQ in Sports Turf Management or equivalent experience H&S training in relevant practices to ensure H&S is practiced as per company policy First Aid training desirable but not essential Chainsaw qualification desirable but not essential Knowledge of Toro irrigation systems desirable PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow and wind. Early starts or later finishes depending on the weather and daylight hours Communicate verbally with staff members and/or customers with or without the use of two-way radios. Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, reaching, shoveling and/or raking.
