The role of Customer Consultant includes engaging in conversations to find out our customers’ needs, providing information about our full savings range, products and services that we offer. By listening to and getting to know our customers you will help them review their circumstances and goals, while providing a straightforward, helpful service that lets your enthusiasm and professionalism shine through.

Our branches are the heart of our local communities, and we support customers face to face, virtually and by outbound contact so we reach customers at relevant times. Whether promoting a new product or resolving a problem, you will place the customer’s needs at the heart of everything you do and provide a first-class service every time. What Will You Be Doing As A Customer Consultant?

* Be the First Point of Contact: You’ll warmly welcome customers, in-branch and over the phone, ensuring their first interaction with us is positive.
* Engage and Understand: By asking insightful questions, you’ll uncover and understand our customers’ needs, providing tailored solutions.
* Listen and Tailor Solutions: You’ll listen to each customer’s circumstances and offer personalized solutions that meet their needs.
* Proactive Outreach: You’ll proactively reach out to customers over the phone to identify needs and discuss how we can support them.
* Maintain Accurate Records: Use our internal systems to keep customer records up to date, with a focus on identifying and supporting vulnerable customers.
* Adhere to Policies: Understand and adhere to policies, standards and controls, with training and coaching provided.

What Do We Need From You?

* Previous experience interacting with customers. We welcome candidates who have worked outside banking or building societies as well.
* Experience can be in person or over the phone; we are increasingly offering flexible ways of engaging with customers.
* Experience in retail, food & beverage, guest services or health/care sectors, with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
* Ability to work well with others in a ‘one-team’ mindset.
* Ability to stay calm and manage time effectively during busy periods.
* Desire and ability to grow, adapt and change with business needs.

What Is In It For You?

The role is permanent, 36 hours per week, Monday to Saturday to support branch operating hours. The salary is £23,600 per annum plus benefits.
