£25,000 – £35,000 + Overtime, No Sponsorship Available
VIQU have partnered with a well-established telecoms and infrastructure specialist delivering critical cabling and wireless solutions across healthcare environments. This organisation has a strong reputation for quality delivery across NHS sites, offering a mix of BAU and project work, with clear opportunities to progress into project-focused roles for ambitious engineers.
This is a hands-on role working across multiple hospital sites, installing and maintaining structured cabling and wireless infrastructure. You'll be part of a team environment (no lone working), contributing to essential connectivity projects in live environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Install and terminate structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a) including outlets and patch panels
* Test cabling using Fluke DTX 5000 (or equivalent)
* Install wireless access points across hospital sites
* Record and document all installations and test results
* Support fibre cabling work when required
* Work in line with CSCS/ESC standards and site safety regulations
Key Requirements
* 3+ years' experience in data cabling installation and testing
* Strong experience with structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a)
* Fluke testing experience (DTX 5000 or similar)
* CSCS or ESC card
* Full UK driving licence
* Based in or around Birmingham
* Comfortable working in live environments (e.g. hospitals)
* Fibre experience beneficial
Package & Benefits
* £25,000 – £35,000 (DOE)
* Overtime available (enhanced weekday and weekend rates)
* 37.5-hour working week (shift patterns: 6–2, 8–4, 9–5)
* 30 days holiday (including bank holidays)
* Vehicle may be provided
