We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Technician to support the overhaul of rail equipment at our Derby site. With new projects, upgraded facilities, and a strong reputation for quality, this is a great opportunity to build your skills in a workshop that values craftsmanship and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Stripping, repairing, and rebuilding mechanical rail components
* Using basic engineering machinery and hand tools with care and accuracy
* Following structured work instructions and safety protocols
* Supporting general housekeeping and cross-departmental collaboration
* Participating in training and upskilling initiatives
What You’ll Bring
* Proven experience in mechanical fitting and troubleshooting
* Ability to read technical drawings and multitask effectively
* Welding, machining, or brazing experience (advantageous)
* FGAS knowledge and rail sector exposure (desirable)
* Strong communication and a collaborative mindset
