We are currently recruiting for a welder for our client based in Ashford. This is a full time role, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform MIG, TIG, and/or ARC welding based on project needs
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
* Set up welding equipment and select appropriate materials
* Measure, cut, and prepare metal components
* Inspect welds for accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with specifications
* Carry out repairs, modifications, and fabrication tasks as required
* Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations to ensure safe operation
* Follow all company safety procedures, risk assessments, and PPE requirements
* Work collaboratively with fabricators, engineers, and site teams
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Welder or similar role
* Strong understanding of multiple welding techniques (MIG/TIG/Stick)
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Competent in using hand and power tools
* Good attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work
* Strong awareness of health and safety regulations
* Relevant welding certifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, coded welding) preferred
