Due to continual growth, we now require a Technology Process Engineer to join our existing team in our manufacturing facility in Cowdenbeath. Reporting directly to the Engineering and Continuous Improvement Manager, the Technology Process Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimisation of IT processes that support the organisation's technology systems. This role focuses on improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of IT operations through innovation, standardisation, and continuous improvement.
Roles and responsibilities:
Process Design & Optimisation: Design, document, and implement IT processes and workflows to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and system performance.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess and refine IT processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement best practices to streamline operations and improve service quality.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Use data analytics to monitor the effectiveness of manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership.
Standards & Governance: Establish and enforce standards, policies, and governance around IT processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and best practices across the organisation.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with current IT processes and proactively address them to mitigate disruptions to operations.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships across production, engineering and technical (quality) teams, ensuring clear communication and feedback
New Technologies: Help plan and implement new equipment and technologies to boost production efficiency.
Candidate requirements:
* Technical knowledge of process modelling, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement techniques.
* Experience in process engineering, IT operations or IT service management.
* Capability to manage change, navigate cross-functional environments and communicate with all key stakeholders.
* Ability to perform root cause analysis and identify long-term solutions to recurring incidents or issues using relevant tools and techniques.
* Project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage resources effectively.
* Proactive and self-driven and able to balance short-term challenges with long-term projects.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and train others on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
* Ideally degree educated within an engineering or IT discipline
* Good working knowledge of Health & Safety and best practices
