We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Digital Products in the Funds/Asset Management space to develop and execute our product strategy and launch solutions that support SS&C’s overall strategy and goals.
SS&C plays a critical role in the Funds industry globally, and this role will allow the successful candidate to collaborate with clients, technologists, and innovators to shape and define the Digital Solutions that empower Asset Managers, Investors, and Advisors daily. This is a high-profile role within our organization, and we are looking for a leader with vision and passion.
Your Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive digital product strategy aligned with business objectives, market trends, and customer insights.
2. Define clear product vision, goals, and roadmaps to drive product innovation and differentiation.
3. Product Development: Lead the conceptualization, prioritization, and execution of digital product initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and user needs into actionable product requirements.
4. Drive the agile product development process to deliver high-quality digital solutions on time and within budget.
5. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities, trends, and customer pain points. Leverage insights to inform product strategy, feature prioritization, and go-to-market planning.
6. User Experience (UX) Design: Champion user-centric design principles to create intuitive and engaging digital experiences. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure seamless user journeys, effective information architecture, and compelling visual design.
7. Product Performance: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of digital products. Analyze product performance data, customer feedback, and usability testing results to iterate on product features and enhance user satisfaction.
8. Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, business units, technology partners, and regulatory bodies. Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress effectively to gain alignment and support.
9. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in the development and deployment of digital products. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks and uphold data security and privacy standards.
10. Team Leadership: Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and coaching to a team of product managers, designers, and developers. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning to drive high performance and employee engagement.
Your Experience
* Strong understanding of customer needs, especially in the Funds/Asset Management industry, the competitive environment including our position relative to competitors, and the market forces needed to launch successful product solutions.
* A master’s degree with eight years of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree with ten years, or a high school diploma with 12 years of related experience.
* Proven leadership in client discussions, with engagement in industry user groups and client forums.
* Experience in market analysis, evaluating industry direction, assessing feasibility and financial justification for new products or releases, and identifying requirements based on company strengths, technologies, quality, costs, customer interactions, and marketplace demands.
* Ability to define target prospects and assist sales in lead generation. Oversee the product lifecycle from conception through retirement.
* Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure adherence to processes that meet financial, timing, and customer expectations.
* Knowledge of product development processes and marketing strategies, with strong analysis and project management skills to thrive in demanding environments.
* A leader with broad operational responsibilities who works with senior leadership to achieve strategic plans and objectives.
* Deep company knowledge, specialized skills, and influence to solve complex issues.
* Participation in the development and management of broad-scope programs and projects with significant operational impact.
