Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School Location: Bexhill Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract: Full-time, Long-term Are you passionate about making education accessible for children with additional needs? GSL Education are looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bexhill, supporting children with EHCPs in mainstream classrooms. About the Role: You’ll be working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who need extra support due to Autism, speech and language difficulties, or sensory processing needs. You’ll help them access lessons, manage transitions, and stay regulated throughout the day. Responsibilities: Provide learning and emotional support for pupils with SEND Follow structured routines and implement visual aids and prompts Support communication using strategies like PECS or visual schedules Promote independence, social interaction, and classroom participation Collaborate with SENCOs and therapists to adapt materials Requirements: Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable Calm, proactive and resilient personality Knowledge of Autism, ADHD or communication needs Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) What We Offer: Daily pay of £90–£100 Support from a specialist education consultant Ongoing opportunities for professional growth Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks; including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
