This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive finance team where you'll play a hands-on role in driving accurate reporting, supporting decision-making, and ensuring the business continues to grow on a strong financial footing.
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you'll work closely with the Finance Manager and wider business to deliver accurate, timely accounts and play an active part in the month-end process. You'll also get involved in exciting projects as the business continues to expand.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting preparation of monthly management accounts
* Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments
* Reconciling balance sheet accounts
* Assisting with VAT returns and other statutory reporting
* Providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions
* Building relationships with non-finance stakeholders to explain financial information clearly
What We're Looking For
We're on the lookout for a proactive, ambitious individual who enjoys being part of a close-knit team.
You'll ideally have:
* Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA (or actively studying)
* Previous experience in a finance role (Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant / similar)
* Strong Excel skills and an eye for detail
* A genuine interest in developing your career in management accounting
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across the business
