Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Superintendent to join our Maritime Department.
With a modern fleet of 11 complex cruise ships equipped with state-of-the-art electrical systems, this role is crucial for maintaining safety, compliance, and readiness to meet itineraries.
Key Accountabilities include:
1. Providing electrical and electronic expertise and operational support to the CUK fleet, working within the Fleet Technical Operations team.
2. Collaborating with ship staff, Ship Managers, and stakeholders to prioritize requirements, ensuring high availability and supporting asset management strategies.
3. Applying operational risk management to ensure equipment availability and reliability, managing obsolescence, and working with manufacturers for upgrades.
4. Supporting systems such as HV Generation and Distribution, Conversion, Electrical Propulsion, Automation, Monitoring, CCTV, Navigation, and Safety systems onboard vessels.
Position Requirements
Ideal candidates possess both technical skills and a passion for the maritime industry, with professional certifications forming the foundation of their role.
Required Qualifications and Skills
1. Qualified electrical or electronic engineer with sea-going experience in the marine industry, preferably in cruise or passenger vessels. Knowledge of SOLAS, Class Rules, and statutory legislation is essential.
2. Degree or equivalent in Electrical discipline; Electro-Technical CoC is preferred.
