The Opportunity
Inizio Engage are proud to partner with a leading organisation in ophthalmology to recruit an ambitious Area Sales Manager for the East Anglia region. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated medical sales professional to step into a specialist therapy area, take ownership of a high-potential territory, and further develop their career within the pharmaceutical industry.
About the Role
You will promote a respected portfolio within glaucoma and ocular surface therapy across secondary care, working closely with NHS and private healthcare professionals.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with early-to-mid stage medical sales experience who is ready to broaden their exposure, deepen their clinical knowledge, and strengthen their commercial impact. You’ll be supported by an experienced team of clinical and commercial specialists, with clear development pathways available.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop strong relationships with secondary care healthcare professionals
* Promote and drive uptake of a specialist ophthalmology portfolio
* Identify growth opportunities within existing and new accounts
* Deliver high-quality product education to clinical stakeholders
* Develop and execute territory plans aligned to business objectives
* Maintain accurate reporting and forecasting
* Represent the company at regional meetings and industry events
About You
To be considered, you must:
* Hold an undergraduate degree
* Have experience in medical sales (pharmaceutical, medtech, devices, diagnostics or similar)
* Have experience working within secondary care
* Hold a full UK driving licence
In addition:
* ABPI qualification is desirable but not essential, a willingness to complete the qualification is required
* Ophthalmology experience is advantageous but not essential
* You should be commercially driven, proactive, and confident building professional relationships
