A client within the Public Sector based in Leicestershire is currently recruiting for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join their Landlord Services team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority or social housing environment. The Role Key purpose of the role: To manage and advise on all aspects of health, safety and environmental compliance across Landlord Services, with a focus on housing repairs and improvements, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and best practice. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Managing and maintaining health, safety and environmental compliance across housing repairs and improvement works • Developing, implementing and monitoring the health and safety management system • Undertaking audits, inspections, risk assessments and accident investigations, including RIDDOR reporting • Ensuring contractor compliance, including adherence to CDM 2015 regulations • Providing expert health and safety advice and reporting to senior stakeholders The Candidate To be considered for this role you will require the following essential qualifications and experience: • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health • Significant post-qualification health and safety experience • Experience working within housing repairs, maintenance or a local authority environment The below skills would be beneficial for the role: • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation within a social housing setting • Experience liaising with regulatory authorities such as the Health and Safety Executive The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £35 per hour Umbrella LTD (Inside IR35) (approximately £28 per hour PAYE).
