Chalk Hill Group are working with a well-established SME, based in Southampton, that is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the business on a 9-12 month fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to lead a small finance team of three while supporting the wider business through a period of change and growth.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and effective management of the finance team.
Key Responsibilitie
* sOversee all day-to-day financial operations, including purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll oversight
* .Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
* .Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital requirements
* .Ensure timely balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes
* .Support budgeting and forecasting activities
* .Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
* .Maintain and improve financial controls, processes and procedures
* .Liaise with external accountants, auditors and other stakeholders as required
* .Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements
