Technical Architect – Identity & Access Management - Up to £75k + 25% bonus
We’re partnered with a well-regarded UK-based consultancy expanding its External Identity capability. They're looking for a hands-on Technical Architect with strong experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) and cloud-based authentication to help design, build, and deliver secure external user identity solutions.
You’ll play a key role in shaping client architectures, working closely with developers and stakeholders to deliver modern, standards-based solutions across a range of industries.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and define secure IAM architectures for external user platforms
* Lead technical delivery of identity solutions using Microsoft cloud technologies
* Implement features hands-on (C#, .NET, Azure AD B2C/B2B, custom APIs)
* Contribute to project planning, timelines, and technical documentation
* Support occasional pre-sales work and proposal input
* Act as a subject matter expert on identity standards and practices
* Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharing
Required Experience
* Strong hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory, especially B2C or B2B implementations
* Solid programming background in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core
* Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML protocols
* Web development understanding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript)
* SQL Server experience and database integration skills
* Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional Requirements
* Candidates must hold active Security Clearance (SC) or be eligible to obtain SC clearance
* Eligibility requires having lived in the UK for the last 5 years, with no more than 30 consecutive days outside the UK during that period
* Candidates must have the full right to work in the UK without sponsorship
Desirable Skills
* Familiarity with identity platforms like Auth0, Okta, or IdentityServer
* Broader knowledge of the Microsoft stack (Blazor, App Services, Graph API)
* Previous consultancy or client-facing experience
* Ability to lead small technical teams or projects
Additional Details
* The role is primarily remote, but occasional and sporadic visits to client sites are required to support end-user engagements and project needs.
* The performance bonus is linked to billable hours spent directly with clients, rewarding your active contribution to delivery.
