The role of Assistant Employment Adviser is to support our participants to find and sustain employment. Working alongside our Employment Advisers, you'll provide direct support by assisting with job searches and identifying self-development opportunities. You'll also organize and conduct job-club activities, either one-to-one or in groups, helping with CVs and job applications.
We're open to various backgrounds and experiences, as we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. We're looking for someone with an engaging personality, comfortable working with a diverse group of people, and able to create a warm, welcoming environment for our customers' first steps back into employment.
This is a rewarding role that allows you to leverage your skills to influence, support, and encourage others to build their future. Our organization delivers a range of Employability & Health contracts supporting unemployed people back to work, and this role is part of our Restart Scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support with initial appointments and customer assessments.
2. Deliver a positive experience to new customers.
3. Identify potential barriers to employment.
4. Organize and undertake job search and job club activities on a 1-1 or group basis.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Good knowledge of the local labour market in the specified areas.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
* Experience in delivering services that meet contractual and quality standards.
* Desirable: Knowledge of the employability industry, experience in a target-driven environment, and working in 'information, advice & guidance'.
* Full driving license and Disability Confident status.
