We have a vacancy for a Merchandiser to join our Homewares team. In this role, you will be working alongside the Buyer with the day-to-day running of a busy department. The role is full time, office based at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool L24. The Key Accountabilities in the role are:
1. Working to tight restrictions ensuring stock is maintained throughout the year at the correct levels
2. Assisting with the creation of weekly core stock orders, managing orders into the business efficiently
3. Driving performance for key trading periods i.e. new product range launches, seasonal peaks etc.
4. Analysing data & current trends to make the right decisions, identifying “gaps“ in current market
5. Cultivating close working relationships with key suppliers to maximise sales/profit throughout the range
6. Maintain and update WSSI’s & Line cards on a daily basis
7. Working to calendars, which involves forecasting crucial lines for long periods
8. Proficient in the use of Excel to manipulate reports into the desired information
The ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills:
9. Already an experienced Merchandiser or a Junior Merchandiser who is ready to step up
10. Results orientated with a track record of achieving targets & delivering growth
11. Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
12. Able to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
13. Strong numerical and analytical skills, methodical with numbers
14. Able to utilise data to fully understand customer behaviour and habits
15. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
