Overview
Referment is working with a leading Financial Services compliance consultancy who are seeking an exceptional Senior Sales professional to spearhead their growth in the private markets sector, targeting Private Equity, Venture Capital, and other alternative investment firms.
In this pivotal player/coach role, you’ll combine hands-on business development with leadership of a high-performing sales team. You’ll be responsible for working on and executing the go-to-market strategy, building and deepening relationships with senior decision-makers, and driving revenue across a rapidly expanding client base.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow market share in private markets.
* Act as both an individual contributor and a mentor to the sales team.
* Build deep, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across PE, VC, and other private market firms.
* Identify client challenges and position compliance solutions that deliver measurable value.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience from pitch to delivery.
Requirements
* Proven track record in sales within financial services, ideally with exposure to compliance, regulatory, or consulting solutions.
* Strong network within private markets (PE, VC, alternative asset management).
* Demonstrated ability to both lead a sales team and deliver individual revenue targets.
* Commercially astute, with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
* Entrepreneurial mindset, able to operate in a high-growth, client-focused environment.
