The post holder will work as a member of the District Nursing Service under the direction and supervision of the Team Leader District Nursing. The post holder will contribute to the implementation of nursing care as assessed and prescribed by the Registered Nurse, including working in a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency arena alongside the primary health care team.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 24 months to cover a secondment. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
The position involves contributing to nursing care planning as prescribed by the Registered Nurse, in collaboration with the primary health care team.
Qualifications
The post holder will hold Level 3 NVQ/QSF in a health care associated certificate or possess skills, knowledge and experience at an equivalent level. The candidate should be prepared to begin this qualification within 3 months of commencing in the role.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. While Welsh language skills are not essential, being able to speak and listen at Level 3 (CEFR B2 or above) is considered an advantage during shortlisting and selection. This is not fluency, just basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
