The role of Programme Facilitator is to deliver a range of group work programmes aimed at changing the attitudes, beliefs, and behaviour of People on Probation. Responsibilities include:
* Providing guidance and feedback to Probation Practitioners on People on Probation's progress within a group, including post-programme reports.
* Liaising with Probation Practitioners, Partner Link Workers, and partner agencies.
* Working evenings and possibly up to 4 unsocial shifts a week, including evenings and/or Saturdays.
Role Requirements include:
* Training in and delivering group work programmes for People on Probation as outlined in the Accredited Programme Manuals and other interventions run by the Programmes Team.
* Undertaking regular feedback sessions and responding constructively to feedback.
* Participating in the preparation and planning of programmes as required by the Treatment Manager.
* Monitoring participants' progress, providing feedback, and recording progress on relevant systems.
* Contributing to risk assessments related to group participants.
* Identifying and taking actions to protect children and vulnerable adults, promoting their welfare in accordance with safeguarding policies.
* Working as part of a team to support performance targets and integrity requirements.

Overview of the job
The job involves delivering rehabilitation interventions aimed at changing attitudes, beliefs, and behaviour of people on probation across various offence types and risk levels, including sexual and domestic abuse offenders, as determined by court sentences and Probation Practitioners' recommendations.
The main objectives are to reduce re-offending, protect the public, prevent future victims, and support rehabilitation through effective, evidence-based programmes and interventions.
The post holder will be regionally based, part of the Interventions Team, reporting to the Programme Manager, and will deliver interventions across a large regional area, requiring travel. There is no line management responsibility.
Regular work hours will include evenings and weekends.
Summary
The role involves delivering interventions in groups or one-on-one sessions, including remotely, tailored to individual needs and in accordance with operational manuals and policies.
The post holder will liaise with Probation Practitioners and other agencies regarding progress, work needs, and concerns, contributing to risk and need assessments to address offending behaviors.

* Monitoring and providing evidence-based recommendations on the suitability, risk, safety, and wellbeing of participants throughout the intervention.
* Completing accurate records of attendance, feedback, risks, and reports to meet quality standards.
* Communicating progress and concerns to relevant staff and stakeholders, including courts and criminal justice agencies.
* Delivering workshops and briefings to Probation staff and external stakeholders about interventions.
* Modeling pro-social behaviour and attitudes, challenging anti-social behaviours.
* Participating in regular video feedback sessions to ensure standards and personal development.
