Maintenance Engineer - Industrial Environment | Permanent Late Shift | Up to £50,000
Chelmsford, Essex
Permanent Late Shift (Monday to Friday, approx. 2pm-10pm)
Up to £50,000 + Overtime + Benefits
Responsibilities
* Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on production and plant equipment
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on a wide range of machinery
* Support continuous improvement and efficiency projects
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and maintenance schedules
* Collaborate with the day and night shift teams to ensure smooth handovers
* Keep accurate records of all work completed
What We're Looking For
* Time-served or qualified engineer (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
* Multi-skilled with a solid understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems
* Industrial experience (e.g., manufacturing, FMCG, waste, aggregates, etc.)
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on a late shift
* Flexible and committed to high standards of work and safety
