Business Development Manager – South West Region
Location: Regional Field-Based
Type: Full-Time
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (DOE) + £7,800 car allowance + commission
Benefits: Pension contribution, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and driven Business Development Manager to help grow our footprint across the South West region.
This is an exciting opportunity to identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities, driving revenue and strengthening our market position within the door automation and entrance solutions industry.
You’ll play a key role in expanding our customer base, building strong relationships, and strategically positioning our products and services to deliver sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for your region
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target markets
* Develop relationships with new and existing customers, from end users to contractors and facility managers
* Manage a pipeline of prospects and generate qualified leads
* Prepare quotations and proposals in line with company guidelines
* Negotiate pricing and contracts with customers
* Conduct meetings, presentations, and site visits
* Understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smooth project handovers and customer satisfaction
* Monitor industry trends and competitor activity
* Prepare and present sales forecasts and reports to senior management
About You
You’re an energetic, results-driven professional who thrives on winning new business. You combine commercial acumen with a consultative sales approach and have experience within the door automation, access solutions, or related technical sales sectors.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a field-based role
* Experience selling technical or automated entrance products (or similar)
* Strong understanding of customer needs and ability to propose effective solutions
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Confident in conducting site surveys and conveying technical details
* Skilled at managing time, tasks, and reporting progress effectively
* Proficient in CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics experience desirable)
* UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region
