Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
* Support chefs and kitchen staff in cooking tasks, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to high standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
* Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the safe handling and storage of food products.
* Help with serving meals during peak hours and catering events as needed.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely meal delivery.
* Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting any shortages or issues.
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; we welcome those eager to learn.
* Basic cooking skills and knife skills are essential for effective meal preparation.
* Familiarity with food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is highly desirable.
* Experience in catering or culinary roles will be considered an asset.
