At Emtec Property Services, we’re growing we’re looking for a Senior Construction Estimator who knows their numbers but also understands what it takes to win work and deliver it properly. This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit, supportive team where your input genuinely matters. You’ll be involved from the early stages of projects, helping shape competitive, commercially sound tenders across a range of property and construction works. The Role You’ll play a key part in securing new work and supporting project delivery by preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates and tender submissions ranging from multi trade packages and smaller self-delivered package of works, which can be valued from £10K to £7M What you’ll be doing: Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates and tender submissions Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents Producing take-offs and pricing for labour, materials, and subcontract packages Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options Supporting handovers to the delivery team once projects are secured Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from bid to build What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who’s commercially aware, detail-driven, and enjoys being part of a team: Previous experience in a Construction Estimator role (property services, building, or maintenance projects would be ideal) Strong understanding of construction processes, costs, and contracts Confident working with drawings and specifications Good commercial awareness and a proactive mindset Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Comfortable communicating with internal teams, clients, and supply chain What's In It for You Attractive Salary: Based on skills and experience Generous Holidays: 33 days of holiday (inclusive of public holidays), increasing with length of service.
