The Role

To provide direct clinical care, which encompasses dietetic assessment, treatment and management of patients. To act as a source of expertise on nutritional therapy to patients, general public, other health care professionals including medical staff and GPs.

What we'll need you to bring

1. Registered Dietitian with valid HCPC Registration
2. The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
3. Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
5. Excellent time management skills
6. Working knowledge of basic information technology
7. Full UK Drivers License

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have

8. Degree or postgraduate diploma in Dietetics.
9. State Registration with Health Professions Council.
10. Evidence of further training/CPD in dietetic practice.
11. Post graduate training in Relevant Dietetic fields
12. Evidence of ongoing CPD
13. Experience of training other staff groups on nutrition.
14. Evidence of involvement in projects/clinical effectiveness work.
15. Interest and/or experience in student training.
16. Evidence of working or clinical placement within an acute hospital setting
17. Good knowledge of up-to-date dietetic practice.
18. Knowledge of audit, standard development and supporting change in practice with teams.
19. Knowledge of specialist dietetic interventions relevant to post
20. Ability to use initiative.
21. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
22. Good verbal and written communication skills
23. Ability to prioritise caseload/work.
24. Flexible. Motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking.
25. Basic IT Skills.
26. Skills in group work.
27. Networking skills
28. Good presentation and training skills.
29. Student training.

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Dietetics within University Hospital Wishaw
