Senior Clinical Fellow – Trauma and Orthopaedics (T&O)
Join a busy, multidisciplinary team to improve trauma and orthopaedics services. The post is a 1‑year fixed term.
Responsibilities
- Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and elective and trauma theatres.
- Teach and support junior staff.
- Fast‑track patients – initiate investigations, provide initial management and treatment plans, and triage T&O patients to improve decision‑making.
- Work under consultant supervision, lead and support other junior doctors, and report to a named supervising consultant.
- Participate in clinical governance programmes, including appraisal, audit, research projects leading to publications, and quality improvement projects.
- Participate in on‑call rotation.
- Consolidate and build operative and clinical skills, undertake research, and develop leadership skills.
Requirements
Strong clinical experience in trauma and orthopaedics, good communication and teaching ability, and a commitment to quality improvement and research. Ability to work as part of a team and manage patients under supervision.
