Hours
Opening hours: Monday – Friday (7am to 8pm); Saturday (7am to 6pm); Sunday (9am to 4pm).

Learning and Development Programs
First Steps to Management (16 weeks): for Service Assistants aiming to move into management with a clear path to a Trade Counter Supervisor role.
Power Up to Trade+ (12–15 months): Trade Supplier Apprenticeship at level 2 to become a Trade+ Sales Supervisor.
Trade Up to Branch Manager (over 15 months): includes a Level 4 Retail Manager Apprenticeship and development of team leadership skills.
Learning for Life: open to colleagues at all levels; Maths and English coaching via Skills Forward for colleagues and their families.

Recruitment and Selection
Applying online is simple. Fill in basic details and upload your CV. If you’re applying for a Service Assistant, you’ll also complete a Situational Judgement Test.
Interview
Interviews may be conducted by phone or video and will include competency-based questions and a discussion of your experience, knowledge of Screwfix and the role. A store visit may follow to meet the team.
Offer
If we’re a good match, we’ll extend an offer. After pre-employment checks, you’ll receive your contract.
