12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

Blue Arrow Recruitment is delighted to be working with a global organisation to recruit a Materials & Distribution Officer on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain or build experience within a regulated warehousing and distribution environment, supporting the global distribution of medical products.
The Role
Operating as part of a service‑focused warehouse team, you will support day‑to‑day warehouse and inventory activities, ensuring materials and finished goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched accurately and in line with GMP and GDP standards.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving and booking materials into the onsite inventory management system (TROPOS)
Picking, packing and dispatching finished goods for external customers
Distributing materials to internal customers via a warehouse ticketing system
Maintaining accurate inventory levels and records
Supporting stock checks, replenishment, FEFO processes and material disposal
Ensuring full compliance with GMP, GDP, Health & Safety and regulatory requirements
Maintaining accurate documentation and system records
Participating in training and continuous development activities
Supporting general warehouse operations as required
What We're Looking For
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Strong organisational and time‑management skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and qualityDesirable (but not essential):
Previous warehousing experience
Exposure to GMP or GDP regulated environments
Experience using inventory management systems
Forklift or driving licence (not essential)Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Additional Information
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Contract: 12‑month fixed‑term contract with our client
Hours: Standard working hours, with occasional overtime desirable
Location: Edinburgh area
