Health, Safety and Wellbeing Senior National Officer
Location: London (UK HQ), Bolton or Birmingham office with hybrid working, 35 hours per week, Permanent.
Salary: £71,124 to £80,250 per annum plus London weighting up to £5,424.00 (if applicable).

Role
As a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Senior National Officer, you will provide expertise to support the creation and implementation of health, safety and wellbeing strategies for the RCN, ensuring alignment with member interests and organisational goals. The aim is to improve the physical and psychological working environments for nurses and nursing staff, wherever they work. This includes monitoring the external environment for new and emerging hazards, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, and partnership working with national elected and appointed committees.
Person
To join us you’ll need a Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety with a minimum of three years’ experience working in a health and safety role. You should have experience of undertaking and managing negotiations and consultations in relation to health, safety and wellbeing issues, and experience of strategic working with trade unions, employer organisations and statutory bodies. You must have excellent organisational and planning skills, be able to manage your time effectively and ensure that work is appropriately prioritised and completed on time.
