School Business Manager

Reed Education, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, is seeking a School Business Manager for a primary school near Darwen. This is a full-time role, covering 5 days per week from 07:00-16:00, starting ASAP and expected to last until the end of the academic year. The ideal candidate will have experience in school administration, particularly with payroll, credit notes, SIMS, and ScoPay.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage school administrative and financial systems efficiently.
* Ensure accurate use of spelling and grammar in all communications.
* Maintain commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
* Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to use initiative in various situations.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with both children and adults within the school environment.
* Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* A very high standard of communication skills, with accurate use of spelling and grammar.
* Proven experience working in a school office or similar setting.
* Proficiency in using school administrative and financial systems such as SIMS and ScoPay.
* A strong commitment to professional development and a keenness to learn.
* Hardworking, flexible, and capable of using initiative.
* Ability to develop good relationships with children and adults.
* Strong commitment to safeguarding practices.
