Are you a compassionate, resilient and dedicated individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in St Albans, starting as soon as possible.
About the Role
As an SEN TA, you will:
Support children with SEMH needs across Key Stages, both in and out of the classroom
Build strong, trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe and ready to learn
Work 1:1 or with small groups to support emotional regulation, engagement and academic progress
Implement tailored strategies, de-escalation techniques and behaviour support plans
Work closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to promote positive outcomes
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, challenging behaviour or additional needs
Remains calm, patient and consistent under pressure
Is confident in promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Can work collaboratively as part of a committed SEN team
Is available to start immediately
